Kingston Chamber of Commerce has a new CEO
As a result of a formal recruitment process, chaired by Ian Noble of LloydsTSB, and an Executive Director of the Chamber we are pleased to announce that Jerry Irving has been appointed as its new Chief Executive.
Jerry has a long history with the Chamber, having been a member since 2001. In 2011 he was elected as its current President. Following Lisa Gagliani resigning the post in February of this year, it was agreed that Jerry should take on the role of Interim CEO pending the outcome of the recruitment process.
Jerry’s business background originated in the Banking and Finance sector where he professionally qualified in 1986. During 14 years in senior management much of his time was spent in the area of corporate banking. In 1999 he left banking to become an independent Business Advisor, providing advice, mentoring and training to new and growing businesses located in and aroundLondon. Working with some of the major Business Support Organisations in the capital, including Businesslink and Greater London Enterprise, Jerry’s philosophy for ensuring his client’s success was based on delivering practical advice and working tools to assist them in achieving their commercial and financial goals.
Jerry’s initial aim is to work more closely with all local businesses and key partners with a view to strengthening the Chamber’s current position as the focal referral point for all their business services needs.
