MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Kingston Chamber of Commerce is looking for an accomplished, professional and highly personable Membership Development Officer to help take its membership strategy forward. The role is based in Kingston upon Thames but we will consider part-home and flexible working. Regular local travel will be required and there are occasional early starts and evening working.
We are seeking a confident self-starter, with the presence and experience to enable effective face to face communications with our members and prospective members. Ideally you will have prior experience in a relevant business development role or in corporate membership engagement and the drive and sensitivity to succeed in engaging prospects and closing membership sales. You will be keen to work collaboratively as part of a small and effective team, and equally able to work independently/remotely, and make decisions in line with agreed strategies and procedures.
A strategic thinker, you will work with the Chief Executive to develop and implement membership recruitment and account management strategies in line with the Chamber of Commerce’s aims. You will also have the confidence to explore new business solutions and opportunities in line with membership requirements.
We are looking for somebody who is keen to work for an effective and influential business membership organisation, and who is highly enthusiastic about helping companies grow and thrive by offering them a range of networking and business development opportunities. This is a great role for a relationship-driven sales or membership professional with relevant experience, willing to work collaboratively to help grow an ambitious, highly respected organisation.
