On 20th February 2018, Kingston Chamber hosted a seminar on the new GDPR legislation at Kingston Universities Tolworth Court Pavillion. Key speakers provided a comprehensive introduction to what GDPR means to businesses, including Cybersecurity issues and legal compliance. The event was so well attended we have a long waitlist of people unable to attend so we have put the whole conference online, thanks to AVTeamUK.
The EU’s GDPR laws will apply from 25 May 2018, the new law marks a wide-reaching and significant shift in the way that organisations must protect personal data. Heavy fines could be enforced for non-compliance and tighter regulations on keeping and using data will be required, which means businesses can’t ignore it!
