Request for local businesses to share their stories and help year 11 girls shape their futures:

Coombe Girls School have an information, advice and guidance day for the year 11 students (all girls) on Thursday 22 October.
As part of the day they are hoping to give the girls the opportunity to meet as many potential employers as possible and would be really grateful if any of our members could take part.

If you could spare an hour of your time – form 9 am to 10 am on that day. Each speaker would take two workshops of 30 min each in that time. The girls would be divided into small groups and choose two workshops they are interested in attending. And a member of staff would be present to help or assist as required.

Members could talk for 10-15 min or so about their work, how they came to choose it, the possible routes into that career and the opportunities available in it. Then there would be time for questions and answers.
The girls are keen on meeting people from a wide range of careers/businesses – law, accountancy, any health professionals, performing arts, media, journalism, anything science related, computing, engineering, architecture, design, advertising or any other business areas that you would be able to consider covering.

If you are available and would be interested in helping, please can you contact the school directly – Dr Ursula Hodges <uh[email protected]>
