Member Event | Kingston Hosts International Capoeira Festival: Solta o Jogo 3

Kingston upon Thames will once again host Solta o Jogo 3 (SOJ3), the first and only international collective Capoeira competition, returning for its third consecutive year at the award-winning Kingston University Townhouse on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October 2025.

More than a martial art, Capoeira is a dialogue of body and rhythm – a fusion of movement, music and history rooted in Afro-Brazilian resistance and resilience. SOJ3 will unite teams from France, Spain, Germany and across the UK, competing in dynamic trios that celebrate creativity, style and unity.

Alongside the competition, audiences can enjoy cultural performances, live music, free community workshops, and a vibrant food and craft fayre featuring Brazilian and African flavours. The event will also be livestreamed in English and Portuguese, connecting Kingston to a global audience.
