The secret to its effectiveness is little and often, combined with weekly studio sessions that build progression. You’ll see yourself getting stronger each week – it’s very tangible and genuinely motivating.
As our bodies change in midlife, so do our nutritional needs, which is why registered nutritionist and fellow Chamber member Nudrat Chagtai is delivering three coaching sessions as part of the Yoga Strong programme.

If you’re thinking “yes, but…” please be reassured about a few things:
- This is for everyone – men and women, and yoga beginners are welcome – there are no ‘tricky’ poses.

- The weights are light (just 1kg per limb to start) – which is enough to make a significant difference to the resistance based on osteoporosis prevention research
- It’s challenging but accessible, with options for everyone and you will make rapid progress 😊

Importantly this is not a yoga boot camp or a HIIT class. It’s strong yoga, but it still includes all the mind body and breath awareness of traditional yoga classes.
