Mindful Space: Supporting Youth Mental Health in Kingston’s Social Venues

Kingston Giving, in partnership with Mind in Kingston, has launched Mindful Space – a new National Lottery–funded pilot supporting local venues to be more welcoming and mentally health–inclusive for young people.

From February to July, 18–25-year-olds will be paid the Living Wage to co-design practical changes with a range of Kingston venues – including pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants, leisure spaces, and arts venues. Phase 1 of the project is free to take part in, and it will inform the creation of a directory of youth-friendly spaces across Kingston.

Mindful Space is a working title, with young people leading on the final name and identity – putting youth voice at the heart of real, positive change for Kingston’s social spaces.

If you’d like further information or would like to discuss taking part, please reach out to Hicky, CEO of Kingston Giving, via [email protected].
